Expobar Bottomless Portafilter

The Expobar Bottomless Portafilter is a great next upgrade in the espresso machine journey. Bottomless portafilters allow the art of espresso extraction to be fully observed. With the bottom of the filter basket exposed and no spouts, it gives you an unobstructed view of the espresso brew at every moment, not just when it begins to drip out and flow.

Diagnosing espresso issues becomes easier as you can see the whole extraction process and in the shot and using a bottomless basket often leads to improved preparation of the coffee. An excellent tool for learning what channeling and colour changes look like; an indication of uneven tamping or incorrect grinder settings.
